Building good attendance habits early is key to success. Students can suffer academically if they miss 10% of the school year, or about 18 days. That's just one day every two weeks. 

2024 Gold Star Award Winners

The Highline Schools Foundation announced the winners of its 2024 Gold Star Awards, highlighting the outstanding efforts of Highline educators, staff, volunteers and alumni. These eight individuals live the Highline Promise to know every student by name, strength and need, so that our students graduate prepared for the future they choose.

In Highline, we teach comprehensive sexual health education in alignment with state law and district policy.  FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health) is our curriculum that meets state requirements for sexual health education, which is taught in grades 4-12. Families may opt out of any or all sexual health lessons. Read on for more details.

In March, school board and cabinet members, as well as two alumni and a state representative, toured the Evergreen High School construction site to get a first-hand view. They seemed delighted with progress, new features and the warmth of the three-story mass timber academic building. See what they saw.
