The foundations of the two connected buildings that will be the new Evergreen High School are nearly complete. The deep foundation work of installing Geopier rammed aggregate columns below ground to support the building loads is finished. The underground electrical and plumbing work is done.
We recently poured the concrete to form the slab-on-grade base of the classroom building on the north. The classroom building will be constructed of mass timber.
The concrete masonry walls of the activities building on the south are climbing higher every day. The activities building will include gyms, commons, food servery, library, theater and administrative offices.
Watch for a crane to arrive later this month to begin erecting structural steel and mass timber.
