Dear EHS Senior and Family:

We are now in the final stretch of the 2020-21 school year.  This is the culmination of 4 years of hard work and it is important to maintain our focus on your future, as well as get ready to celebrate safely!  Below are some important dates, timelines, and information to prepare you for the end of the school year and graduation.  

  • Graduation orders with Jostens – If you have not already done so, please complete your graduation order (caps, gowns, etc.) with Jostens – this can be done online at http://www.jostens.com. You need to order by May 28th in order to guarantee your size. 

 

  • Who Walks – In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, students must:

  1. Complete all credit requirements. 

  2. Complete the High School & Beyond Plan. 

  3. Complete the Pacific NW History requirement.

  4. Meet standard on graduation pathway through Smarter Balanced Assessments, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, CTE Pathway, College level courses, and/or  Bridge courses.

  5. Pay all of their fines.

TICKET INFORMATION

  • Due to COVID restrictions, each graduate will only be allowed 2 guests to graduation. We will not have any extra tickets. 

  • Students will receive their graduation tickets at senior check out on June 9th. 

  • Both of your guests will have to sit together on the bus, enter the stadium together, and sit together at graduation. Please contact Alison Hogue if that will be a problem (email at alison.hogue@highlineschools.org, call/ text (401) 372-7957‬) 

 

GRADUATION

  • Saturday, June 12th at 6:00 pm at Highline Memorial Stadium 

          401 So. 152nd St.  Burien, WA 98148 - Next to Highline High School. 

    ** All seniors AND their guests are required to ride the bus from the Evergreen High School to the Highline Memorial Stadium**   

  • Students and their guests should arrive on campus at Evergreen at 4:30pm

 

  • Students AND their guests are required to ride the bus back to Evergreen immediately following graduation. 

  • There is no parking at Highline Memorial Stadium. Everyone attending graduation will have to park at Evergreen and take the bus to the stadium.

TIMELINE

  • Prom:  The decision has been made that prom will be canceled this year. This was a difficult decision but ultimately we and the district want to make sure that we are keeping you all safe.  

 

  • Wednesday, June 9th – Mandatory Senior Check-Out - Evergreen High School Gym from 8:00AM-2:30PM. 

    • In order to walk at graduation seniors must checkout with all stations below:

  1. Ms. Prado, Bookkeeper: Do you owe any fines? If so, they must be paid in full or work out a payment plan. Cash and check are accepted in person, debit and credit cards accepted online.

  2. Ms. McSheehy, Librarian: Make sure all books are turned in.

  3. Zar: Return hotspots and laptops.

  4. Ms. Nancy, registrar: Confirm address and location to mail your final transcript.

  5. Mr. Booker, College and Career Access Specialist: High School and Beyond Plan and senior survey is completed.

  6. School Counselors: Graduation requirements have been met, including passing all required classes.

  7. Ms. Hogue: Graduation Tickets, Cords, and Medallions

  8. Ms. Downey, Principal: Final sign off

  • Thursday, June 10th

    • Parade and Drive through- All families and seniors are invited to join us at 5:30 in the EHS parking lot for a car parade to celebrate our seniors. The parade will start at EHS, where all seniors will receive gift bags, and proceed on a route through White Center. Dress in cap and gown and decorate your cars to celebrate! 

    • Virtual Awards Night- Please join us at 7:30pm on Zoom for our Senior Awards Night to celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2021. The webinar link will be sent out a couple of days ahead of time. 

 

  • Friday, June 11th - MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE       

    • 12:15- 12:45pm- Check-in at the Gym

    • 12:45-1:25pm - Graduation Rehearsal

    • 1:25-2:00pm- Senior Assembly

*Complete the Covid Health Attestation prior to or upon your arrival. 

*Wear/bring the shoes you will be walking in. Heels are not recommended.

*Wear your graduation cap and gown. 

 

  • Saturday, June 12th GRADUATION 

    • 6:00 pm at Highline Memorial Stadium.
