We want to alert our families, community members and local businesses about a recent scam involving individuals falsely claiming to represent Evergreen High School.
A community member recently informed us that they were contacted by someone asking for a sponsorship donation to support Evergreen athletics. The caller claimed the donation would help fund a team and, in return, the business would be featured on a promotional poster. After agreeing to the request, the business later realized the communication was not from anyone affiliated with our school or district.
We are thankful they reported this to us. It’s possible others in our community may have received similar messages. Please know that Highline Public Schools and its schools will never solicit donations or sponsorships in this manner. If a request seems unexpected or suspicious, contact the school directly to confirm.
