College & Career Center

Welcome to the new school year, under these current circumstances! Hello, my name is Roderick Booker and I am the College and Career Access Specialist for the Evergreen High School. This will be my seventh year and I am excited to serve your students this year. I am located in the College and Career Center here on the Evergreen High School Campus.

As the College and Career Access Specialist, I will serve as manager and point-of-contact for outside community partners who provide related services along with;

  •       Project manager for school-driven college and career events, programs, panels and fairs
  •       Career awareness, career exploratory, jobs shadows, volunteer service and paid Internships
  •       College prep, support, visits, and scholarship attainment
  •       SAT/ACT preparation and support
  •       Financial Aid Support for students and financial literacy for families
  •       Liaison between students, counselors, teachers, administrators, and district staff

This all is done to help equip your students for post-secondary education whether it be a two-year college, workforce, apprenticeships, Internships, military, four-year University or professional technical schools.  I work also with a great team of other community partners in the College and Career Center:

Chel Gary, HERO Advisor, College Success Foundation working with 9th and 10th graders

Kalehua Kaapana, College Preparatory Advisor, College Success Foundation working with 11th and 12th graders

Christine Ma, TRIO Talent Search works with all grade levels.

Eric Burns/Arleen Senas, Upward Bound

We work as a team in helping your students around college and career preparation success, so when they leave Evergreen High School they are Equipped, Engaged and Empowered for post-secondary success and beyond!
